ClickUp Alternative With No Plan Ladder: Weenvo vs ClickUp

Weenvo is a ClickUp alternative for teams that want timesheet approval and several wikis without climbing to the Enterprise plan. ClickUp has the wider feature set and a cheaper entry plan; the difference is which tier unlocks what. Below: plan by plan, the cost for 30 users, and when ClickUp is the better choice.

ClickUp is the closest thing to Weenvo in this series. It wants to be the one place for tasks, docs, time and goals, and it has built most of that. It even has a native timesheet approval cycle, which Asana sells as an add-on and monday.com does not list at all. The difference is packaging. On ClickUp a feature’s existence and its availability are two separate questions: sprint points start on Business, a second wiki needs Enterprise, and timesheet approval sits on Enterprise too. This article measures what each plan actually unlocks, what a 30-user team pays, and where ClickUp is the better choice.

What ClickUp does well

Breadth, honestly earned. Sprints are included on every plan, the free one too. Docs are unlimited everywhere. Native time tracking starts on the first paid plan, and the time-tracking page describes weekly timesheets that a manager approves or rejects, with approved entries locked. That is a real workflow, not a marketplace app.

Automations are generous once you pay for Business: 10,000 actions a month, webhooks included, 1M on Enterprise. Dashboards, Gantt, workload and goals all exist. And ClickUp Brain is included on every plan with a monthly credit allowance; extra credits cost $10 per 10,000.

For a team that wants one tool and is ready to climb the plan ladder as it grows, ClickUp delivers.

Which ClickUp plan unlocks timesheets and wikis?

ClickUp’s pricing page is long rather than secretive. Three items move the decision for most teams.

Which ClickUp plan has timesheet approval?

Time tracking: first paid plan. Timesheets: Business. Timesheet approvals: Enterprise and above — "Not included" on Free, Core and Business in ClickUp’s own comparison table. A 30-person agency that bills hours and wants a manager to approve them pays the Enterprise price, which is not published. Hourly rates by member, task or project are described on the time-tracking page; the table does not say which plan carries them.

One wiki per workspace until Enterprise

Docs are unlimited on every plan, but Doc Wikis — the structured knowledge-base form — are capped at one per workspace on Free, Core and Business. A company with a product wiki and an HR handbook has to merge them or pay up.

Sprint reporting, dashboards and estimates start on Business

Sprints are everywhere; sprint points and reporting, dashboards, granular time estimates and private docs begin on Business. Workload and the full custom-field manager sit higher still. Free is a trial of most of these, which is exactly what the table calls it.

What it costs for a team of 30

Annual billing, 30 users. ClickUp prices are published in USD and converted at the ECB reference rate of 20 October 2026 (EUR 1 = USD 1.1215). Weenvo Standard is €10 per user per month with the 15% annual discount applied.

Set-upPer yearPer month
ClickUp Core (time tracking, no timesheets)€2,889€241
ClickUp Business (timesheets, sprint points, no approval)€5,457€455
ClickUp Enterprise (timesheet approval, SAML, unlimited wikis)Price on request—
Weenvo Standard (time tracking, timesheets, timesheet approval and unlimited wikis included)€3,060€255

This is the one comparison in the series where the entry plan is cheaper than Weenvo. Core costs about 95% of Weenvo’s price and brings time tracking with it. Business, the plan with timesheets and sprint reporting, is 1.8 times Weenvo. Approval and SAML are an Enterprise conversation. Taxes and billing terms vary; the final figure may differ.

How it works in practice: a 30-person consultancy

Picture a consultancy of thirty: five engagement teams, every hour billed, a knowledge base per practice. In Weenvo each practice has its own documentation tree and each client a workspace. Consultants log hours in the task card; on Friday the engagement lead opens the week’s timesheet, returns one entry with a note, accepts the rest, and the approved hours lock. The Monday steering call is a meeting in Weenvo: agenda items with owners, decisions recorded during the call, minutes e-mailed to the client, the hour logged against the meeting. Every plan carries all of this; the Standard price is the whole price.

In ClickUp the same consultancy gets time tracking on Core, timesheets on Business, and goes to Enterprise for the approval step and for a second wiki. The features are all there. The ladder is the product.

When ClickUp fits better

  • The team is small, does not need approvals, and wants the lowest price with time tracking included. ClickUp Core at $9 per user is hard to beat.
  • The team wants AI inside the tool with a published price list. ClickUp Brain is included on every plan; Weenvo does not offer AI features.
  • The team uses dashboards and chat as one surface and is happy to configure it. ClickUp’s breadth is wider than Weenvo’s.
  • Automations matter: 10,000 metered actions a month on Business cover most teams, and Weenvo has no rules engine.

FAQ

Is ClickUp’s timesheet approval the same as Weenvo’s?

The workflow is similar: submit, review, approve or return, lock. The difference is where it lives. ClickUp lists it on Enterprise and above; Weenvo includes it on every plan, Free included.

Does Weenvo limit features by plan?

No. Plans differ in users, storage and how long change history is kept; the feature list is the same on every plan, except custom domains, available on Standard and Enterprise (see pricing).

How many knowledge bases can we have in Weenvo?

As many as you need: documentation is a tree of sections and subsections with per-section access and version history.

Does Weenvo have automations like ClickUp?

Not as a rules engine. Weenvo standardises work through project schemes, default task values and workflow states. If your process depends on dozens of "when X then Y" rules, test it in the demo first.

Can Weenvo be self-hosted?

The published plans are cloud. Enterprise is priced on request; ask about deployment options when you book a demo.
